Zouma has been West Ham’s top defensive target all summer, but earlier this month it appeared that the negotiations ended due to the defender’s wage demands.
The Hammers did consider other options, though David Moyes always preferred the Frenchman over other targets and it appears West Ham are now close to getting him.
A deal worth £25m is in place between West Ham and Chelsea for the defender to join the east London club this summer.
It has been claimed that Zouma also reached an agreement over a contract with West Ham on Tuesday night and according to French sports daily L’Equipe, he will undergo a medical today.
The Hammers want to get it over the line soon and will put Zouma through the mandatory medical checks later today.
The Frenchman will sign a five-year contract with West Ham once all the formalities are completed.
West Ham are also expected to try and sign another forward before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
