Trezeguet spent the latter half of last season with Trabzonspor’s fellow Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir after struggling for minutes at Villa Park.

His spell at Villa Park has been troubled by injury but he flourished in the Super Lig with Istanbul Basaksehir and has further experience of the Turkish top division with Kasimpasa.

In 13 appearances, the winger on loan from Aston Villa netted six goals and assisted four times and now he could possibly leave for the Turkish top division permanently.

Trabzonspor are keen on signing the Egyptian star as they embark next season on a quest to defend their title.

Now, the winger’s representative and the Turkish club have a scheduled a meeting for today to work out the intricacies of a contract, , according to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.

Trabzonspor coach Abdullah Avci has spoken with the winger and has been involved in negotiations to bring him to Turkey.

Aston Villa are ready to sell the winger, who has been injury-prone in his spell with the Villans, and it remains to be seen if the meeting goes smoothly to the effect of an agreement being reached between Trezeguet and the Turkish champions.
