Tottenham have already made three new signings this summer and are now closing in on roping in centre-back Clement Lenglet and forward Richarlison.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte’s next priority is a right-wing back and Boro star Spence is their priority target.

The Championship outfit are open to letting the 21-year-old leave for the right price as they want to use the funds raised from his sale to add to their own transfer kitty.

But even though Tottenham are continuing talks with Middlesbrough over Spence, they are yet to match their asking price.

And Boro are losing patience with Spurs as they are yet to agree to their demands for Spence’s services, while not showing any signs of cooling down their interest in him.

The Yorkshire outfit are aware that Spence is not short of suitors in the ongoing window and are keen to cash in on him as soon as possible.

Spurs supremo Daniel Levy is overseeing negotiations with Middlesbrough for Spence and boss Conte will be hoping he can have his top right-wing back target at his disposal soon, with several of his charges having already returned for pre-season training.
