The Hoops are on the verge of snapping up forward Haksabanovic from Russian outfit Rubin Kazan.
Haksabanovic is currently Scotland to finalise a move to the Parkhead but Celtic are also looking at the possibility of moving on some fringe stars.
Striker Ajeti is one player boss Ange Postecoglou does not see as integral to his plans at the club this season.
The 25-year-old was a bit part player last term before missing the majority of the campaign owing to an injury.
Celtic are open to the idea of allowing Ajeti to leave the club this summer and only have fewer than ten days to facilitate his exit.
And the Bhoys will turn their attention towards finding a new club for Ajeti once they confirm the signing of Haksabanovic, which is expected to be completed this week.
The Hoops are also closing in on seeing another fringe player in Christopher Jullien leaving with the player set to join French side Montpellier.
