Gnonto joined Jesse Marsch’s side this summer from FC Zurich on deadline day and made his senior debut for Leeds in their 2-1 win at Anfield against Liverpool.

The 19-year-old came on as a second half substitute against Bournemouth on Saturday and assisted the 83rd minute winner by Crysencio Summerville.

Dorigo was impressed by what he saw from the teenager against the Cherries and hailed Gnonto for his decision making throughout the second-half.

The Whites legend is of the opinion that the Italian international did everything that Marsch expected him to do and praised the player for his incredible comfort on the ball.

Dorigo also pointed out that the way Gnonto created the opportunity and the final pass for Summerville’s goal shows the speed and ability he possesses.

“Every time Gnonto got the ball, he just looked so comfortable and to think he’s only just turned 19 is quite incredible”, Dorigo wrote in his Yorkshire Evening Post’s column.

“He was making the right decisions and he was doing the things that you wanted him to like running towards the corner flag or just keeping the ball and there was always a reason for the things he was trying to do.

“His decision making was great and of course we can all see the speed and ability that he has got, as shown with that great run for Crysencio Summerville’s winner.

“That was fantastic.

“To do all of that and then to play the weight of a pass that he did was absolutely superb to set up Summerville who did it once again with another late winner.”

Leeds United will take on Wolves in an EFL Cup clash tonight, and Gnonto will be eyeing his first senior start for the Whites against the Midlands club.
