Ogbene’s contract with Rotherham expires at the end of the season and he has been of interest to Middlesbrough this window.
Rotherham have been claimed to have rejected bids from fellow Championship clubs for the winger this window.
The Irish star helped Rotherham climb out of the third tier last season and has continued to impress this term for the Millers.
However, a deal to bring Oebene to Middlesbrough now appears to be dead in the water and Boro will not be signing him this window.
Middlesbrough could see the departure of Duncan Watmore to Millwall today and would be interested in a replacement for him.
It seems though that Ogbene will not be providing that replacement and Middlesbrough are looking at other targets.
Middlesbrough have added just one signing this window, Cameron Archer from Aston Villa, but could look to bring more in on deadline day.
