Farke has been leading the race to become the Leeds manager since the club concluded interviews of candidates last week.
The Whites have been delaying making the appointment as their new owners, the 49 Enterprises, are still waiting for the formal approval of their takeover from the EFL.
However, the Whites are closing in on appointing Farke as their new manager and an announcement is expected in the coming days.
The German has agreed on a contract with Leeds and has already paid a visit to the club’s training ground at Thorp Arch.
The 46-year-old has been the favourite to get the Leeds job because of his experience of getting Norwich City promoted to the Premier League twice.
Leeds are working out the final details of the deal with Farke and his representatives ahead of appointing him.
The Whites are hopeful of getting clearance from the EFL of the 49ers’ takeover of the club.
However, Leeds are working towards Farke in place to take charge of training from the onset when the players report for pre-season next week.
