Bayern Munich have already failed with two bids to sign Kane this summer but held talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy earlier this week to find a breakthrough.

A new bid for Kane is expected to be tabled soon and Bayern Munich are believed to be ready to break the €100m barrier to sign the forward in the ongoing transfer window.

The England captain is keen on the move but will not try to force his way out and wants his future sorted out before Spurs’ first game of the season later this month.

Fjortoft insisted that the two clubs would have likely decided to keep everything under wraps when they met on Monday.

He believes a resolution to the situation of Kane could be imminent and might come out of nowhere in the coming days.

The former striker took to Twitter and wrote: “Calm before the storm now in terms of Harry Kane.

“I think one of the main issues in the meeting on Monday between the two clubs was to keep all details away from the public room

“I expect a statement/a decision will come ‘out of nowhere’ – sooner rather than later.”

It has been claimed Levy has been asked by the Spurs ownership to sell Kane if he does not sign a new contract.
