Under Martin, the Saints began the season by picking up ten points from the first four games, but since then, Southampton have experienced four straight defeats.
Southampton are now set to welcome Daniel Farke’s Leeds United side to St. Mary’s on Saturday and they will be determined to bounce back.
Martin insisted that despite their recent poor form, everyone at the club is behind them and stated that they cannot afford to be outcome-based.
The Saints boss also added that the energy ahead of the Leeds game has been great and believes that it is completely different from the time he stepped into the club for the first time.
“I get the feeling that everyone here is with us”, Martin said at a press conference.
“The energy has been great and so different to when we first got here 12 weeks ago.
“You can’t be outcome-based, if you are, it can become really painful.”
Southampton are currently sitting in 15th place in the league table and Martin’s side will be eager to get back to winning ways in front of their home fans on Saturday.
