The Bantams have made a shaky start to their league campaign as they are sitting 19th in the League Two table with 20 points from 18 matches.
They have struggled to score goals in the league this season and frontman Andy Cook has scored six of their 20 league goals.
However, on Tuesday night in the EFL Trophy clash against Barnsley, the Bantams oversaw a 5-1 victory where the goals were distributed all around the pitch.
Defender Platt scored one of those five goals and he admitted that they were too reliant on strikers last season to score the goals.
Platt revealed that his side are looking to find more goals from defence and midfield to win matches comfortably.
“Yes definitely, I think last year especially that was something we struggled with”, Platt told Bradford’s media when he was asked about what was it like to have multiple scorers all over the pitch.
“We relied a lot on a couple of people and that was definitely something we want to improve this year.
“And if those defenders and midfielders can chip in as well, it’s a good thing.”
Now the Bantams will be looking to carry their cup form into the league when they face Accrington Stanley on 25th November.
