The 18-year-old attacker is a product of the Owls academy and he has impressed with his recent displays under Danny Rohl.
The likes of Josh Windass and Mallik Wilks are currently out with injuries and Cadamarteri has stepped in during their absence.
The teenage forward has scored three goals in his last four league appearances and the Owls skipper insisted that he will learn a lot on and off the pitch at Sheffield Wednesday.
Cadamarteri signed a brand-new deal this month which is valid up to 2028 and Bannan admitted that the youngster deserved the new contract.
He stressed however that now it is all about knuckling down and kicking on for the player.
“He’s done really well. He’s got three goals now and he’s stepped in when people have been out injured”, Bannan told the Star about the Owls youngster.
“He’s brought his goalscoring from the U21s onto this scene and he’s been brilliant so far.
“He got a new contract, deservedly so, and it’s about knuckling down now.
“It’s only the start, he’s got good people in front of him here he can learn from off the pitch and on it as well. He’s in a good place and long may it continue.”
Now it remains to be seen if Cadamarteri can provide the cutting edge for Rohl with his goals to help the team avoid relegation from the Championship this season.
