Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl has admitted that he wants to bring players in quickly in the January transfer window.

After a disappointing start under Xisco Munoz, the Owls have turned their form around under their new boss Rohl.

Sheffield Wednesday have picked up nine points from the last five games and Rohl wants to strengthen his squad in the ongoing window to keep them up in the Championship.

Rohl stated that the Owls have a shortlist of players they want to bring in and stressed that they have to do the transfer business quickly.

The Sheffield Wednesday boss also admitted that transfer deals are very unpredictable as anything can happen quickly and he added that they will prepare for every kind of situation.

“For me, it is important that we make quick transfers now”, Rohl said at a press conference.

“I think it is important to bring players immediately here, but you never know what will happen.

“Sometimes you think we are now very close, then something new happens.

“This is something we have to do; we have to prepare.

“I always spoke about a list. We have a shortlist of some good players and let’s see how we can bring them here to Wednesday.”

Sheffield Wednesday are set to welcome Cardiff City to Hillsborough in an FA Cup third-round fixture on Saturday.
