Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Ethan Horvath is scheduled to undergo a medical with Cardiff City after the two clubs agreed upon a loan deal, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Forest are pushing to bring in a new goalkeeper on deadline with Crystal Palace’s Sam Johnstone a top target for the club.

However, they need to move on a goalkeeper from their squad to make space and it seems Nottingham Forest are on their way to setting the ball rolling.

Horvath has not made a Premier League matchday squad since September and the club have been keen to move him on.

A loan deal is in place between Nottingham Forest and Cardiff for the goalkeeper to move to Wales for the rest of the season.

The negotiations are progressing briskly and the goalkeeper has already been booked for a medical.

Cardiff will look to put him through the paces later today while ironing out the details of the loan agreement.

Horvath’s departure will also end his time with Nottingham Forest as his current deal will expire at the end of the season.
