Exeter City boss Gary Caldwell has admitted that his team will prepare to deliver a big performance against Derby County and has issued a rallying call for the fans to back them on Tuesday.

Derby drew 1-1 against relegation-threatened Shrewsbury Town at the weekend and they are determined to get back to winning ways against Exeter on Tuesday.

Paul Warne’s side registered a 2-0 win over Exeter early in the season at Pride Park and they are eyeing a league double over Caldwell’s team.

The Exeter boss pointed out that last time both sides met, it was Derby who dominated the game and he stated that they know how difficult opponents the Rams are.

Caldwell also added that they will prepare to deliver a big performance at St. James Park on Tuesday and stated that they will need their fans to beat Derby.

When asked about their clash against Derby on Tuesday, Caldwell told reporters: “A really tough game.

“When we played them at their place, they were very dominant in that game, so we know how difficult it is going to be.

“We have to recover, we have to prepare and we have to use all the squad to make sure come Tuesday night we are ready at quarter to eight for another big effort and big performance at SJP under the lights.

“Hopefully these supporters will keep singing and keeping their voice until Tuesday night because we are going to need them if we want to win.”

Derby are currently second in the league table with 60 points from 31 games and they will be keen on securing a victory to keep their momentum going.
