Roy Hodgson could leave Crystal Palace with immediate effect as the club push to reach an agreement with Oliver Glasner, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Hodgson will be out of contract at the end of the season but results have taken a downturn in recent weeks.

Crystal Palace have been in contact with former Eintracht Frankfurt coach Glasner over the possibility of replacing the veteran Englishman at Selhurst Park.

A change was expected to take place in the summer but it has been claimed that it could come sooner.

More talks are expected to take place between Glasner and Crystal Palace today over working out an agreement.

It has been claimed that Hodgson could find the exit door at Crystal Palace with immediate effect if a deal is agreed upon with the Austrian.

Glasner is interested in taking charge of Crystal Palace and talks are ongoing between his camp and the south London club.

He could come in and replace Hodgson at Palace soon if an agreement is worked out between his representatives and the club.
