Former Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been asked to find a new club by Besiktas.

The 30-year-old midfielder joined Liverpool from Arsenal in the summer of 2017 and featured in 146 games for the Merseyside outfit.

Oxlade-Chamberlain helped Liverpool win the Premier League in the 2019/20 campaign, but eventually departed Anfield last year.

The former England international left Liverpool at the end of his contract in 2023 and joined Turkish giants Besiktas.

Last season for Oxlade-Chamberlain was marred by a thigh injury and he played a bit part role for Besiktas by starting only eleven games.

Oxlade-Chamberlain failed to impress Besiktas when he was on the pitch and now the club are keen to offload him.

According to Turkish journalist Ertan Suzgun, a meeting has been held with Oxlade-Chamberlain’s representatives.

Besiktas have communicated that they want Oxlade-Chamberlain to find a new club.

The 30-year-old still has two years left on his contract with Besiktas and it remains to be seen what lies ahead and whether any English sides will approach him.
