Leeds United are looking to ‘hijack’ another club’s move for one of their main targets, according to journalist Fraser Fletcher.
Whites boss Daniel Farke needs additions before the window closes, not least to replace the goals and assists that left when Crysencio Summerville walked through the door.
Leeds had an offer to sign Jesurun Rak-Sakyi from Crystal Palace turned down at the weekend and he is all set to sign for Sheffield United on loan.
The Whites have also been chasing Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe, but have had an offer rejected and now Marseille have moved strongly into the picture.
Leeds are not giving up and are now trying to ‘hijack’ Marseille’s deal.
The French side know that Rowe is keen to make the move to the Stade Velodrome this summer, but they do not have a deal in place with Norwich yet.
Marseille are expected to come back with a new bid soon.
Leeds will be looking to also have an offer accepted by Norwich and then convince Rowe that the best move for his career would be to head to Elland Road.
