Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is a massive admirer of Celtic attacker Kyogo Furuhashi and is keen to take him to the Etihad.

The Premier League champions are exploring signing a replacement for Julian Alvarez in the final week of the transfer window.

Kyogo is one of the two names Manchester City are looking at but a final decision has not been made.

However, it has been claimed that Guardiola would be keen on taking the Celtic forward to the Etihad in the ongoing transfer window.

The Manchester City manager is a huge fan of the Japanese and what he could add to his squad this summer, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

He was left hugely impressed by his performance when Celtic and Manchester City played each other in pre-season.

Kyogo is also likely to be keen on the move if Manchester City make a concrete move to sign him in the coming days.

He is unlikely to be more than a backup squad member at Manchester City but he has an admirer in Guardiola at the Etihad.
