Bayern Munich are keeping a close eye on Sami Khedira’s fortunes at Real Madrid, keen as they are to take the player back to Germany.
The midfielder has not quite hit the heights expected in the Spanish capital and there have been rumblings that, for the right price, Khedira could be allowed to leave Los Blancos.
Signed after a superb World Cup in South Africa with Germany, Khedira was overjoyed to join Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid revolution from Stuttgart. In Madrid, he linked up with international team-mate Mesut Ozil and the future looked bright.
While Khedira’s Los Blancos career is by no means over, and he may yet stay in the Spanish capital, Bayern Munich are watching developments closely, ready to be quick off the mark if he should become available.
