The English Football Association have come down hard on Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson after the Scot criticised referee Martin Atkinson after United's defeat away to Chelsea earlier this month.
Having commented to the club's TV channel MUTV that: "You want a fair referee, or a strong referee anyway – and we didn't get that", Ferguson was expected to be reprimanded.
And the FA have banned Ferguson from the touchline for five matches, as well as handing the United manager a £30,000 fine.
The punishment will begin after United's weekend game against Bolton Wanderers.
