Santos’ highly rated young midfielder Ganso is the subject of a transfer duel between Milan rivals AC and Inter.
The 21-year-old, who stars with Neymar at club level, is ready to move to Europe, although question marks still hang over just how much will need to be paid to secure his services. While Santos are thought to be holding out for a mammoth €50M, sources close to Ganso suggest a lowering to €35M is not unrealistic.
Should both Milan clubs meet Santos’ asking price for the Brazil star, then it will come down to Ganso to make a choice.
The player’s agent Thiago Ferro has arrived in Italy and is expected to hold talks with Inter, who appear to be slightly ahead of the Rossoneri. The presence of countryman Leonardo in the dugout for the Nerazzurri is surely to Inter’s advantage.
