Liverpool’s managing director Ian Ayre has admitted that should the club move to a new stadium then they would look at the possibility of selling the naming rights to that arena.

Ayre did make clear however that should the club remain at Anfield, thought to be the preferred option at present, then naming rights is not something they would consider for the iconic ground.

"We are actively looking for a naming partner if we were to move to a new ground, but that clearly does not apply if we decide to remain at Anfield", Ayre told the club’s official site.

"No final decision has yet been made, but a considerable amount of work continues on analysing the options open to us, be that a refurbishment or our existing home or the move to a completely new LFC Stadium in Stanley Park."
