Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak has admitted that he would like to play in the English Premier League and for the club he supports – Manchester United.

The 27-year-old striker currently turns out for Bundesliga side Stuttgart, having made the move to Germany from Zenit St. Petersburg in 2009. This season in Germany though has been one to forget, with Stuttgart struggling near the foot of the table and increasingly relying on Pogrebnyak for goals, with other areas of the side drying up.

And while the Russian enjoys the Bundesliga, he admits his dream is England and Manchester United.

"I have always admired English football and I have always been a Manchester United fan", said the striker to Eurosport.

"They have the strongest team in the Premier League and one of the best in Europe. The Bundesliga is definitely one of the best tournaments in the world, probably the second one after the Premier League."
