Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has denied that a move to Bayern Munich is a done deal, leaving the door open for a late move from Manchester United.
Neuer was superb in Schalke’s Champions League semi-final first leg match against United on Tuesday, further reinforcing just why Sir Alex Ferguson has continually kept watch on the keeper for the last few years.
It was thought that Neuer had already agreed to join Bayern Munich after informing Schalke of his desire to leave Gelsenkirchen at the end of the season, but the German has now denied that everything is done and dusted.
"It’s up to my club to decide", said Neuer when asked if he was on his way to the Allianz Arena, "in any case I still have many games to play, including the German Cup.
"Only at the end of the season will I know where I’ll be playing next year."
