Juventus have made the acquisition of Real Madrid defensive midfielder Lassana Diarra one of their priorities this summer according to France Football.
The Frenchman has come to Juventus’ attention as the Bianconeri bid to strengthen a midfield which was thought to lack bite last season – with the former Chelsea man considered a good option to remedy that condition.
Under contract until 2013 at Real Madrid, Juventus will face a battle to secure the player’s signature.
Also linked with a move for Diarra is Manchester United, with Sir Alex Ferguson known to rate the 26-year-old highly, having kept close tabs on the midfielder due to his superb performances in the Premier League.
Juventus though are ready to go the extra mile in order to ensure Diarra ends up in Turin for the start of next season. The Bianconeri are determined to do whatever it takes to grab a spot in Serie A’s top four in the 2011/12 campaign and with it a place back in the Champions League.
