AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has revealed that he is considering an offer put to him by Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala.

The 33-year-old tough-tackling midfielder has been targeted by the big-spending Russian club for months, and they remain keen to add him to other stars such as Roberto Carlos and Diego Tardelli.

With ambitions of qualifying for Europe, Anzhi have once again put an attractive offer on the table for the Italian.

"There is a great offer from Anzhi", Gattuso told Tuttosport, "we will evaluate it as in two years I’ll stop playing."

Gattuso has one more year left on his contract with Milan, but would be confident of persuading the Rossoneri to wave that if he settled upon an offer he judged good enough.

There is also interest in Gattuso from a number of other countries, with clubs from Germany, Portugal and the United States thought to be monitoring developments.
