Brazilian full back Rafinha is expected to seal a return to the Bundesliga in the next few days. The former Schalke star currently turns out for Serie A side Genoa, but has failed to settle in Italy and wants to head back to Germany.

Schalke were interested in taking their ex-player back, but it appears that Bayern Munich are the team that has won the day.

The Allianz Arena outfit are thought to have agreed a fee of between €5M-7M with Genoa and have offered Rafinha a three-year contract.

At 25 years old, Rafinha has still not reached his peak and his stock remains high from a five-year spell with Schalke that only ended last summer. The player has one cap for Brazil.
