Roma look set to have a summer transfer budget of €40M after talks between director of football Walter Sabatini and the club’s owners.

The Giallorossi were taken over recently by an American consortium headed by Thomas DiBenedetto and have targeted Champions League football as their objective next season.

And to that end former Barcelona B coach Luis Enrique has been appointed Roma’s new boss.

The Spaniard and Sabatini will now tuck into their €40M summer budget. However, the amount excludes player sales and the duo can add to their kitty by offloading those not in their plans.
