Celtic are stepping up their move to take Norwegian striker Erik Huseklepp to Glasgow.

The 26-year-old is under contract to Italian side Bari and following the side’s relegation to Serie B will leave the southern club.

And Huseklepp has been targeted by Celtic who believe the former Brann man could add real firepower to their frontline.

Despite being somewhat prolific in Norwegian football, Huseklepp struggled to have the same kind of impact in Serie A, although he did impress towards the end of the season.

A move to Celtic would no doubt be welcomed by Huseklepp, who can also operate as a winger, and he would hope to enjoy more success in the Scottish Premier League.
