Roma have made an official bid for Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The Lyon schemer has been tipped for a move away from the Stade Gerland this summer, but as yet nothing has materialised and he remains with the Ligue 1 club.

Pjanic has been concerned about gaining regular first team football at Lyon, though he remains highly rated by Les Gones boss Remi Garde.

Nevertheless, Roma have launched an official move for Pjanic.

The Giallorossi’s offer is thought to be around the €8.5M mark, though it is unclear whether this will be enough to snap up the 21-year-old.

Roma have gone on a summer spending spree under new owner Thomas DiBenedetto this summer, with fellow new arrival, coach Luis Enrique, putting an emphasis on youth that would be entirely consistent with the side’s bid for Pjanic.
