Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of midfielder Scott Parker.
The England international has moved from West Ham United and was keen to continue playing in the Premier League following the Hammers’ relegation last season.
Parker was one of Spurs boss Harry Redknapp’s top targets in the summer transfer window and the former Portsmouth manager will be delighted to get his man.
Spurs are believed to have paid around £5M for Parker and the 30-year-old’s arrival further smooths the road for Honduras midfielder Wilson Palacios to join Stoke City.
Parker was voted the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year last season, despite West Ham finishing at the bottom of the Premier League.
