Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes could play his football in Brazil in the future – that is the admission the 30-year-old has made.
Valdes has been a key part of Barcelona’s trophy gathering in recent years, having bridged the gap between eras of recent coaches, making his Blaugrana debut in 2002.
The Catalan number 1 is rated as one of the best keepers in La Liga and at international level has been unfortunate to find Real Madrid star Iker Casillas ahead of him in the Spain pecking order.
At the Camp Nou, Valdes is the undisputed top dog between the sticks and while he is not planning on cutting short his stay, could see himself playing in Brazil at some point.
“Perhaps in the future; I can’t rule out playing in Brazil. It is something I’d have to discuss with my wife”, said Valdes.
“I have a Brazilian sponsor that could facilitate it”, he added.
“Who knows what could happen in the future – but it would be very nice.”
