The chances of France shot-stopper Hugo Lloris moving to Tottenham Hotspur this summer appear to be receding.

Les Gones have made no secret of the fact that they are willing to sell the 25-year-old for the right price as a season outside the Champions League threatens to bite at the Stade Gerland.

The interest of three English clubs was instantly piqued, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur all noting the Frenchman’s availability.

But only Spurs are believed to have indicated what they would pay, with the figure at €15M – not enough to convince Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas to sell the shot-stopper, whom he values at the €20M mark.

And with little sign of the White Hart Lane outfit meeting Aulas’ expectations, the president believes the door is now gradually closing on Lloris’ potential exit, especially given that he initially set a deadline of Monday for bids to arrive.

"I’ll give Hugo one more week for an agreement to be found, but I think it is 99% certain he will stay with Lyon", Aulas told the club’s TV channel.

"And I am happy about that", added the president.

While Les Gones would be delighted to keep Lloris, the club’s financial position means they may be vulnerable to offers later on in the transfer window, if no other stars are offloaded.

Spurs however are already thought to have switched their attention to Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
