Manchester City have confirmed the signing of midfielder Jack Rodwell from Everton and the England star is relishing the chance to play for Roberto Mancini’s men.
It is not known how much the Premier League champions have paid for the 21-year-old, but he has inked a five-year contract with the Citizens and becomes Mancini’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
"I relish the opportunity of playing with some of the best players in the world and continuing my development", Rodwell told Manchester City’s official site.
"I look forward to working with Mr Mancini and his coaching staff and ultimately playing in front of the City fans at the Etihad Stadium.
"It will be an amazing experience to make my debut in front of them if I am selected to play next weekend.
"The hard work starts today as I start to help contribute to the club winning more silverware. The season has started really well with the Community Shield win."
