Spanish winger Pablo Hernandez appears to be moving closer to leaving Valencia after he was omitted from the weekend’s travelling party to face Real Madrid.

Los Che coach Mauricio Pellegrini chose to leave Hernandez in Valencia and not take him to the Spanish capital, as Valencia claimed a valuable 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu.

The 27-year-old is being targeted by English Premier League outfit Swansea City and is thought to be desperate to try his luck under Michael Laudrup at the club.

Now Los Che, according to sources in Spain, are believed to be ready to sell the player to the Welsh side, providing the price is right.

That amount could be €5M, which Swansea are thought ready to pay for Hernandez.

The Spaniard started his career with Los Che, rising through the youth team ranks to turn out for the club’s B team and then eventually establish a spot amongst the senior squad.

He has spent time away from Valencia, but has never played outside Spain.
