English Premier League outfit Fulham are interested in Standard Liege goalkeeper Sinan Bolat, according to Belgian daily Dernier Heure.
The shot-stopper injured his cruciate ligament in June, ruling him out for six months. But Bolat’s recovering is well ahead of schedule and Standard Liege have already fielded expressions of interest from several clubs.
Foremost amongst those clubs looking closely at Bolat are Fulham, with the Craven Cottage outfit seriously considering a bid for the 24-year-old in the January transfer window.
Bolat has taken great strides forward in his development over the last two seasons, establishing himself as an up and coming goalkeeping talent.
He has carved a spot in Turkey’s national team squad and played for his country as recently as November 2011, as the side battled to reach Euro 2012.
Bolat began his professional career with Genk before being snapped up by Standard Liege in the 2009 January transfer window for a fee of around €150,000.
Standard Liege would realise a substantial profit if the goalkeeper were sold.
