Sevilla coach Michel believes that Jose Antonio Reyes must "reinvent" himself.

Reyes last turned out in La Liga for Los Rojiblancos on 5th October, as the club lost 2-0 at Celta Vigo, a match he was substituted in.

The former Arsenal star has not been included in Sevilla’s last two La Liga squads, which has led to speculation over his future.

And his situation has been noted elsewhere, with Turkish giants Fenerbahce linked with a bid in recent days.

Reyes will be back in action tomorrow though, when Sevilla take on Espanyol in the Copa del Rey, but the forward has been warned he must look to find a new spark in his game.

"I don’t know whether he will start or come on during the game", said Michel, confirming though that Reyes will play some part.

"At 18 he was a star, but sometimes things happen and we have to reinvent ourselves."

Reyes will hope to use the Copa del Rey opportunity as a springboard to win his place in the Sevilla starting eleven back.

Michel meanwhile will see the Copa del Rey as offering a genuine trophy hope for the club.
