AC Milan want to sell Brazilian striker Robinho in January, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport.
Robinho has seen his time on the pitch restricted by injuries this season and the 28-year-old has only managed four appearances in Serie A so far, with three coming from the bench.
Milan are believed to view the former Manchester City man as surplus to requirements and would like to shift his salary of approximately €4M per year off the wage bill.
In a period where the Rossoneri are keen to cut costs and invest in younger players, Robinho’s salary and age make him a perfect candidate to be sold.
Whether the striker will consent to a move or choose to fight for his place remains to be seen, but he could be tempted by a return to his homeland.
Robinho’s former club Santos have been linked with welcoming him back, but it is unclear what financial terms Milan will demand for the forward.
