Roma sporting director Franco Baldini has admitted the Giallorossi would consider a new bid for midfielder Daniele De Rossi from Manchester City in January, were one to arrive.
The Citizens tried to snap up the Italy international over the summer, but saw their efforts rebuffed by Roma, something which caused manager Roberto Mancini to buy Javi Garcia from Benfica as an alternative.
However, talk linking the English champions with De Rossi has not died down and Roma have now invited Mancini to bid again, with the promise that an offer would be looked at in a fresh light.
"In the summer, we listened to the proposal from City, but we rejected it", Baldini was quoted as saying by Sky Sport Italia.
"If the club returned, we would again listen to their proposal", he added.
It remains to be seen whether the Citizens will present a new bid to the Giallorossi for De Rossi in January.

The tournament, running from 19th January until 10th February, will be hosted by South Africa.
Buying De Rossi though would undoubtedly prove to be an expensive operation.
