Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has rejected suggestions that Derby County starlet Will Hughes has agreed a deal to join the Reds.
Hughes, who is also linked with Arsenal and Manchester United, was strongly tipped to be joining Liverpool in a reported £12m deal.
The 18-year-old is capped six times at England Under-21 level, and is considered one for the future at senior level.
However, any talk of joining Liverpool was vehemently put aside by Rodgers, who told a press conference: "I read somewhere that there had been something agreed with him. Nothing could be further from the truth.

"He's at the best place he can be. He's a wonderful talent, he's at a big club with a great manager.
"I don't normally comment on speculation but I have his interest at heart. Because he picks up the paper everyday and he'll see he's been linked with Liverpool.
"There's been nothing. We're always looking for talent – young players, senior players. And he, along with many others, is a player that we've probably looked at."
