West Ham winger Matt Jarvis believes that there is every chance the Hammers can repeat their heroics of last season by beating Chelsea this weekend.

Last term West Ham put Chelsea to the sword 3-1 at Upton Park, damaging the Blues' top four bid in the Premier League, even if Rafael Benitez did eventually steer the Stamford Bridge outfit to a Champions League spot.

Now Chelsea return to face the Hammers, but this time under Jose Mourinho.

Nevertheless, Jarvis has not given up hope of the hosts shocking their illustrious neighbours once again.

He told his club's official site: "I think there is always a chance you can beat them.

"We did it last year.

"It has shown already in the league that everyone is beating everyone.

"No one has been dominant at the moment, so hopefully we can show the qualities we did last year and get a good result."

West Ham have had a poor start to the season and sit just 16th in the league with ten points from eleven games and a goal difference of minus two.

Beating Chelsea would provide a welcome boost for Sam Allardyce's men.
