Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has praised youngster Jon Flanagan, feeling the right-back is reaping the rewards of his hard work.
Flanagan played in an unfamiliar left-back role against Everton at the weekend, excelling in the 3-3 draw between the two sides.
For Sturridge the defender was the clear man of the match and the striker, who came off the bench to score, could not be happier for the youngster.
"I thought Jon Flanagan was man of the match against Everton and everyone was so happy for him", the former Manchester City hitman was quoted as saying by his club's official site.
