QPR boss Harry Redknapp expects Julio Cesar to be looking to move on during the January transfer window and feels the Brazilian goalkeeper "could play for any team in the world".

Cesar had been expected to leave Loftus Road in the summer following QPR's relegation from the Premier League. Clubs such as Arsenal, Benfica, Fiorentina, Inter, Roma and Napoli were all strongly linked with the experienced custodian, with Redknapp fully expecting to lose the 34-year-old.

But no move materialised, with mooted concern over Cesar's wage demands.

As next summer's World Cup approaches though Redknapp has tipped the goalkeeper, who is on the sidelines at QPR, to head elsewhere.

"Only the goalkeeper, Cesar [could leave]", Redknapp told a press conference.

"He's the only one I suppose who will be looking to move. He needs to play. He's the Brazilian number 1 and needs to go off and play.

"He could play for any team in the world, he's that good.

"It's only the circumstances here [that have stopped him]. Rob Green has been fantastic."

Cesar has been assured of a spot in Brazil's World Cup squad by coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, though the former Inter shot-stopper is fretting over heading to his homeland next summer in top notch shape.
