Leeds United legend Eddie Gray believes that if the Whites do not offer Rudy Austin a new contract then there will be no shortages of sides chasing the midfielder.

Austin, who has been a regular when fit under head coach Neil Redfearn, is out of contract at Elland Road this summer and it is less than clear whether the Yorkshire giants will look to extend his stay.

For Gray, Austin is someone that Leeds will miss if he departs, while the club legend also thinks the Jamaica international is good enough to play in the Premier League.

"He'll be a player Leeds will miss [if he goes]", Gray told LUTV.

"But there will be about a dozen clubs in the Championship who would take him and maybe even a couple in the lower reaches of the Premier League", he added.
