England manager Roy Hodgson has urged his side to forget about the loss against Spain and concentrate on doing the good job they have been doing for so long.

The Three Lions were humbled 2-0 by Vicente del Bosque's team last Friday, a loss that brings to an end their wonderful Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, where they were the only team to have come out unbeaten.

While the loss against a quality side could be seen as a reason for worry ahead of Euro 2016, Hodgson believes that his side should not be that perturbed by just that one result and must continue doing what they have been doing.

The veteran manager also took time to praise the quality on offer in his side and insists that there is still potential to improve in the near future.

Speaking on the issue of what he believes is the most important things for his side right now, Hodgson told the FA's official website: “The important thing is that we keep our eye on the ball.

“There were moments in the game when we did get the ball down and pass it that we made them look a little bit more normal.

“Even though the best side won the game, I don’t think we were in any way embarrassed.”
