The 24-year-old hitman has been in red hot form this season in Ligue 1, scoring 12 goals in 19 appearances for Reims.

His goalscoring exploits have attracted the interest from several clubs in Europe and Reims have been fielding enquiries and offers for Dia.

Torino have tabled an offer for the striker and West Ham have also identified him as a potential target as the club look to bring in a goal-getter before Monday’s deadline.

But his future is still to be sorted out and, according to French sports daily L’Equipe, the saga around his next club is likely to drag into the final hours of the transfer window.

Reims are not keen to lose their top goalscorer in the middle of the season and are desperately trying to shift a few young strikers out.

But Dia is intrigued at the opportunity of playing on a bigger stage and is said to be ready to consider an offer to leave.

But no decision is expected to be taken any time soon and the negotiations over his future are likely to be alive on deadline day as well.
