26 games into the Premier League season, West Ham currently sit sixth in the table with 45 points and are only two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, who have played a match more.

Heading into the business end of the season, the Hammers are hopeful of retaining their place in the top six and earning their way into the Champions League or Europa League next season.

However, the Irons have a tricky set of fixtures coming up, starting with a visit from Marcelo Biesla’s Leeds side on Monday and Cresswell wants a win.

The West Ham star stressed the significance of the side’s next three games in their attempts to secure a European competition spot and explained that beating them would set the team up for a strong end to the campaign.

All of them are massive games, really“, Cresswell was quoted as saying by West Ham’s official site.

If we can beat those teams – Leeds, Man United and Arsenal – it will really set us up for a good run in.

If we can give everything we’ve got between now and the end of the season, I don’t see any reason why we certainly can’t be up there and that’s what we’re aiming for.

Finishing in the top four would see West Ham earning their first-ever Champions League campaign, while a fifth-place finish would secure them a spot in the Europa League group stage.
