Lingard again got on the scoresheet and provided another assist as West Ham beat Wolves 3-2 on Monday night to move into the top four spots.

The attacking midfielder has been a revelation since he left Manchester United to join West Ham on loan in the winter window and has been the key figure for the Hammers in their race to finish in the Champions League places.

Lingard has scored six times in eight league appearances for the Hammers and Osman stressed that the Manchester United loanee is looking like someone who wants to again prove himself on the big stage.

He feels that at Manchester United he might have suffered due to complacency, but he is looking hungry again at the London Stadium.

Osman said on Premier League TV following the game: “[He has] confidence and hunger.

“I am looking at him at the moment and he looks like a player trying to prove himself again.

“[He is] hungry just like when he broke onto the scene at Manchester United.

“Maybe he got a bit complacent in his time but he is certainly not at the moment.”

West Ham are likely to try and sign Lingard on a permanent contract once his loan expires at the end of the season.
