Tagliafico has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham from Dutch champions over the last 24 hours.
The claims were played down last night, but it emerged again today that the Hammers were in talks and they were facing paperwork issues in getting the deal done.
West Ham have signed Nikola Vlasic today and are set to complete a deal to secure the signature of Alex Kral from Spartak Moscow.
But the club are not going to sign Ajax’s Tagliafico despite suggestions that they have a deal in place with Ajax.
West Ham were never pushing for the Argentine and never have been close to signing him in the last 24 hours.
Tagliafico is set to stay at Ajax and West Ham may only sign a young prospect before the window closes.
