Radrizzani completed a buyout of Leeds in 2017 after initially being a co-owner and oversaw the club’s return to Premier League football following a 16-year absence.

The Italian was responsible for bringing in Marcelo Bielsa to Elland Road in 2018 and the Yorkshire giants have seen their standards rise on and off the pitch under the Argentine.

It has emerged that a change of ownership is again on the cards at Leeds as the minority shareholder 49ers Enterprises have an option to complete a buyout of the club from Radrizzani for more than £400m before January 2024, which would be a huge profit for the Italian businessman.

However, even if Radrizzani leaves his post at Leeds, he could still be boasting the ownership of a European club, as according to Italian daily Il Secolo XIX, he has joined the list of names interested in buying Serie A side Sampdoria.

I Blucerchiati owner Massimo Ferrero has been trying to sell Sampdoria in recent months and wants to move on if a suitable buyer comes forward to seal a deal.

Radrizzani, who showed interest in buying Sampdoria before buying Leeds, is again keen on owning the club from his homeland, although he will face competition as the Dubai Investment Development Agency along with a consortium led by Gianluca Vialli and Jamie Dinan are also keen on taking over at Sampdoria.

It remains to be seen whether Radrizzani will make a push to buy Sampdoria, who are currently 15th in the league and are struggling to find form.
